This Month's Read : The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck

Pretty much excited to finish my 75 peso copy of the Pulitzer Prize winner, The Good Earth by Pearl S. Buck. Got my copy for a great bargain. I'm getting better at book hunting. Already in the middle though, and I love the simple language used to write it.

No spoilers please!

kcatwoman--- yang mga trees na yan yung mga nasunog o nadarang ng apoy nung sinunug nila yung mga damo underneath those tress.....pero di naman patay yang mga yan.....ang byahe---patayan talaga. lalo yung Sagada-Baguio Route, 6 hours na walang patid na zigzag....tapos 6 hours uli na travel back to Manila....thanks a lot

Pearl Buck is one of the greatest writers of the modern era. Her contemporary is John Steinbeck. I have not yet read the good earth but I'm sure it is a must read for all serious book lovers. Thanks for the post. God bless you always.

omg haha, i got to read this way back in college and this is indeed a great book! saw it powerbooks and the price was a whoooping 800 bucks. a friend was kind enough to buy me the book at 66.oo sa booksale, though. :) apir!

and i especially like O-lan, she happens to be one of the stongest woman characters i've seen in the history of my reading.

at higit sa lahat, cheers to opium! hahaha
